Spooktacular 2008

Axcess believes it is important to be involved in the community we are helping to build.  Our community participation includes many pro bono projects and fundraising events.  This year Axcess is sponsoring the Spooktacular Family Halloween Celebration hosted by Franco’s Athletic Club.  All proceeds benefit the Mandeville D.A.R.E. program to keep kids off drugs.  This event is particularly important to us because it invests in the future of our community; it invests in our children.

First Annual P.J. Paulsell Charity Golf Tournament

Axcess has recently sponsored the First Annual P.J. Paulsell Annual Golf Tournament. When P.J.ʼs story first came to us we became committed to helping her. In 2005 P.J. was severely injured in a tragic motorcycle accident, which put her in the hospital for 9 months. Her recovery so far is due to the hard work and commitment of herself, her mother Christie Paulsell, and many medical teams in health care facilities across the South. P.J.ʼs recovery is a continuous process which requires ongoing care. When P.J. turned 21 she was switched to long term personal care and her mother became financially responsible for her physical therapy and medical equipment needs. Christie Paulsell is a teacher for the St. Tammany Parish school system, and is well known by many of the employees and associates of Axcess.

In order to help Chirstie bear this financial burden, Axcess initated, organized, and hosted the first annual P.J. Pausell Charity Golf Tournament, Dinner, and Silent Auction. In attendance to this exclusive event were a number of prominent regional business people as well as several high-ranking retired military personnel who flew in specifically to attend the event, including a retired member of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. This event raised in excess of $25,000 for P.J. of which 100 percent of the proceeds go directly to P.J. and her care. If you are interested in attending next yearʼs Second Annual P.J. Pausell Charity Golf Tournament please contact us.
